Positioning of the Items – Jenny Stewart

I looked at Jenny Stewart’s Nature and Still Life Portfolio for inspiration about the positioning and framing of the objects in my three photos. She is a fairly unknown photographer who loves to take photos every time she leaves the house.

JS 4 These pictures are taken from an elevated position in regards to the main subject – either looking from bird’s eye view or slightly downwards from that. I didn’t really like these examples as they lose depth.

In these examples, the camera is slightly elevated but mostly a side view. Apart from the bottom right picture, there is only one main subject which is off centre…

I think that they all flow together nicely because of this.
